Vika and Valerija take this as an opportunity to ask themselves: What did our 2016 actually look like? The thing is: we have mixed feelings. While Vika was confronted with Russian jokes and prejudices and earned money for the first time, Valerija was in her birthplace of Saint Petersburg in Russia for the last time. We not only discuss the wild journey with a broken foot, but also the political situation in 2016 in and outside of Russia. Today we see them with completely different eyes and less nostalgic feelings. In Njetztalk we go even further back to the “wild 90s” in Russia. A documentary gives us an insight into the country, but also our family’s past. Who doesn’t have any nostalgic feelings for this time and therefore doesn’t talk to us about it as much. Back in the here and now, we look at the so-called “snow apocalypse” on the Kamchatka Peninsula, far to the east of Russia.
