13 Million: Source & Breakdown

Salzweg. The PNP reported on Friday about the various calculation methods for Salzweg’s debt amount. The fact that Mayor Josef Putz mentioned a debt level of around 13 million euros in 2014 when nominated caused confusion. Now Putz explains how he came up with this sum: “In 2014, the municipality had 10.7 million euros in debt. In addition, around 900,000 euros in credit had to be taken out, which was ordered by my predecessor. There was a KfB loan of around 140,000 euros and around 1.6 million euros in current account credit. That’s why an internal budget freeze was imposed in August 2014.”…
