You may have heard of “Loud Secrets,” the Wednesday night comedy show series at The Plus (208 S Barstow St.) in downtown Eau Claire. This past week on March 18, organizers hosted another segment of the recurring comedy show: “Win Something Weird!”
Every week, a different comedian based in the Chippewa Valley hosts and produces the show; with “Win Something Weird,” comedian Mackenzie Bublitz invites attendees to compete on stage in a Jeopardy-style match against fellow Eau Clarians.
Contestants are chosen on a lottery-based system and the fun unfolds! Folks can expect rounds of trivia and other games with the goal to win $50 and “something weird,” a different item each week determined by Mackenzie.
“Degrees of weirdness will vary, but it will always be something wacky and unique,” event organizers shared online. “Enjoy standup at the top of the show as well as local music from a rotating musical guest between rounds.”
General admission to the all-ages show (with an 18+ suggestion) are $10/person; the first 20 tickets for attendees are free with additional appetizer perks from The Plus’ menu offerings. Tickets can be purchased ahead of each Wednesday show, online at volumeonetickets.org.
