LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Waterfront Park was filled with furry friends and their owners on sunday for Waggin’ Tail on the Waterfront. The Kentucky Humane Society hosted the dog-pleasant event at Waterfront Park’s festival Plaza on 231 Witherspoon Street to raise funds for animals in need.

The event featured live music, food trucks, pet-themed vendors, and adoptable dogs. Tickets were $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger.

“It’s great. I wish everyone could adopt. I am actually thinking about adopting one myself, another one – this one was a Valentine’s Day gift but yeah, they are sweet little animals, sweet little eyes – they deserve great forever homes full of love and happiness,” Troy Keller said.

As its inception in 1998, Waggin’ Tail on the Waterfront has raised more than $1.8 million.
