Jakarta: Vivo officially introduced its newest tablet, Vivo Pad 5e, in the Chinese market on Monday 14 October 2025. This device comes at the same time as the launch of the flagship Vivo X300 series, as well as complementing Vivo’s product line in the middle segment.
In appearance, the Vivo Pad 5e is almost identical to the Vivo Pad 5 which was previously released in June 2025. The body design, screen size and supporting features are almost the same. However, the main difference lies in the chipset used. If the Pad 5 relies on the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus, the Pad 5e is equipped with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 made by Qualcomm.
This 4 nanometer architecture chipset has a CPU with a speed of up to 3.3 GHz and an Adreno 750 GPU. This combination is combined with LPDDR5X RAM up to 16 GB and UFS 4.1 internal storage with a maximum capacity of 512 GB. With these specifications, the Pad 5e is positioned as a mid-range tablet that still offers capable performance.
Vivo Pad 5e has a 12.1 inch LCD screen with 2.8K resolution (2800 × 1968 pixels) with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. For visual comfort, a Soft Light Edition variant is available which is lighter and equipped with a special coating to reduce light reflection.
This tablet also supports the use of a stylus and magnetic keyboard (sold separately), so it can support the user’s productivity and creative needs.
Apart from hardware specifications, Vivo also emphasizes cross-ecosystem collaboration capabilities. The Pad 5e can connect to Windows or Mac-based PCs, function as a portable file station, and supports productivity applications such as the PC version of CAJViewer and WPS.
The Atom Notes feature allows real-time note synchronization, so that material or slides from your cellphone can be directly displayed on your tablet. This strengthens the Pad 5e’s position as a device not only for entertainment, but also productivity.
Prices and Variants
In the Chinese market, Vivo Pad 5e is offered in several options:
– 8GB/128GB: CNY1,999 (around IDR 4.6 million)
– 16GB/512GB: CNY2,999 (around IDR 6.9 million)
At this price, the Vivo Pad 5e is an attractive alternative for consumers who want a similar experience to the Pad 5, but with a different chipset and a more affordable price.
