Toni Storm AEW Dynamite Match: Update & Reason

by archynetyscom

AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm was set to take on rival Marina Shafir in a no holds barred match on Wednesday’s Dynamite but was ruled out.

In a clip shared to X ten minutes before the show started, Storm was shown laid out in her locker room with Mina Shirakawa tending to her and Luther freaking out as Renee Paquette ran up to the scene.

Then announced at the onset of the broadcast, Storm was said to be not cleared after her match with Shafir at this past Sunday’s Revolution pay-per-view, but the backstage attack wasn’t referenced.

As of this writing, it’s unknown what injury or injuries that Storm is working through and how long she could be out of action.

Shirakawa was announced as taking the match against Shafir Wednesday instead. They have wrestled in a singles match once with Shafir picking up the victory this past December but they have also crossed paths in the first-ever women’s Blood & Guts match last November and in the inaugural Women’s Tag Team title tournament.
