The local government carried out various controls at different points in the game, open to the entire community. Check-ups with clinical doctors, nutrition counseling, and rapid HIV/Syphilis testing were some of the services provided.
The Municipality of Tigre carried out medical checkups for diabetes awareness and prevention week. The objective of this activity was to bring together different controls and advice in the territory. In total, more than 400 residents were assisted.
The sessions were held in Don Torcuato, Tigre Centro, Benavidez, El Talar and General Pacheco. Those present were able to carry out check-ups with clinical doctors, nutrition advice, information on agroecology and gardening, blood pressure and blood glucose control, rapid HIV/syphilis test and information stands on different services provided by the Municipality.
In turn, the Municipal Palace; The Sacriste Bridge and the Honorable Deliberative Council were illuminated blue in reference to World Diabetes Day. This color represents the unity of the international community to combat the disease.
The Health Secretariats participated in the activity; of Social Development and Inclusion Policies; of Women, Gender and Childhood; and the Undersecretary of Sports.
