Stig Millehaugen Death: Police Find No Foul Play

– The preliminary autopsy report, as well as the police’s findings during the crime scene investigation in the cell in Kongsvinger prison, indicate with a high degree of probability that the death is not due to a criminal act, police inspector Henning Klauseie states in a press release from Innlandet police district.

The police state that it will take four to six months before the final autopsy report is ready. They will not go out with what discoveries have been made in the cell.

Millehaugen is one of those who have been in prison the most and longest in Norway, almost 37 years. Among many other things, he was convicted of two murders and was under investigation for the murder of Nokas convict Metkel Betew in Oppsal in Oslo last spring. Just a few days before he was found dead, he was remanded in custody in connection with this case.
