Gary Neville says Victor Lindelof has become the best central defender.
Lindelof had an inconsistent season in his first year at United as well as just 29 appearances in all competitions. This season he has already made 25.
The Swede, who has been named as the player of the Year for 2018, has become a key member of United's back line under former manager Jose Mourinho and caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Speaking before United's 3-0 win over Fulham in the Premier League, which Lindelof missed through a slight injury, Neville praised the defender for turning his fortunes around.
He said: "He's been the best center-back for Manchester United all season, Victor Lindelof.
"It was tough for him last year but he's improved enormously."
Fulham 0-3 Man Utd reaction
The comments from Neville as after former United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic revealed the advice he shared with Lindelof when the defender joined the club in 2017 for £ 31m.
Ibrahimovic said: "I'm here to survive." You're here to survive. has no problems with selling [you], That's the way it is. '
"And I think he's been doing good lately."
