Small Aircraft Crashes in Sao Paulo, Claiming Two Lives
SAO PAULO — A small aircraft crashed on an avenue in Sao Paulo on Friday morning shortly after taking off from a nearby private airport. The incident resulted in at least two fatalities, according to the local firefighter corps.
Crash Site Details and Casualties
The plane went down in the busy Barra Funda neighborhood on thecity’s west side. The impact was devastating, with a piece of the aircraft striking a bus. This caused significant damage to the bus and injured one woman inside. A motorcyclist was also struck by falling debris, resulting in injuries.
Firefighters quickly arrived at the scene to address the aftermath. A later statement from the firefighters’ corps indicated that four additional individuals sustained minor injuries and were treated at nearby hospitals. Unfortunately, two fatalities occurred, though the identities of the victims have yet to be released.
