Samsung Freestyle+: AI Projector & CES 2026 Preview

Jakarta: Samsung Electronics officially announced the launch of The Freestyle+, a portable display device powered by artificial intelligence (AI), ahead of the annual CES 2026 technology event in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
This device is designed to provide a more flexible and personalized entertainment experience in various spaces and conditions of use, especially for consumers who want mobile entertainment without the need for a large device.
The Freestyle+ is the latest generation of the Freestyle product line, which was previously known for its compact but functional portable design. This latest model maintains the characteristic cylindrical design that is easy to carry from one room to another.

Apart from that, this latest model also introduces a number of intelligent technologies to maximize broadcast quality and overall usage experience, one of which is AI OptiScreen at the core of The Freestyle+.
AI OptiScreen is an AI-based screen optimization system that automatically adjusts image quality according to the projection surface and surrounding environmental conditions. Users just need to point, place, and the device is ready to project content without complicated manual configuration.
AI OptiScreen includes several superior features such as 3D Auto Keystone, which has the ability to automatically correct distortion when projection is carried out on an uneven or slanted surface, and Real-time Focus, which has the ability to adjust image sharpness when the projector is moved or rotated so that it remains clear without blurring.
In addition, AI OptiScreen also includes a Screen Fit feature, which has the ability to adjust the display size to fit the screen area when used with projector accessories, as well as Wall Calibration, which has the ability to analyze the color or pattern of the projection surface to reduce visual interference and ensure cleaner image quality.
Samsung has also embedded Vision AI Companion, an AI platform that combines the latest Bixby capabilities with AI services from global partners, so that interactions with content become more natural and personalized through voice commands or intuitive controls.
The Freestyle+ is designed to be easy to take anywhere. The light weight and cylindrical shape make it easy for users to move it from the living room to the work space, or even outside the house.
With a design that can be rotated up to 180 degrees, users can project content onto walls, floors and even ceilings without needing additional support such as a special stand. This device is also equipped with a brightness level of 430 ISO Lumens, almost twice as high as the previous generation, so that images remain clear in various everyday lighting conditions.
Samsung not only focuses on projection capabilities, but also provides a more complete entertainment experience. Freestyle+ offers access to services such as Samsung TV Plus and Samsung Gaming Hub directly from the device, without requiring a connection to another device.
This makes it easier for users to watch movies, stream content, or play games quickly and comfortably. For audio, this device is equipped with 360 degree speakers capable of producing powerful immersive sound in small and large spaces.
Q-Symphony support enables sound synchronization with compatible Samsung soundbars, creating a richer and more cohesive audio experience. Samsung will showcase The Freestyle+ at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, taking place January 6 to January 9, 2026, as part of their latest product lineup earlier in the year.
The plan is that this device will be released globally in stages in the first half of 2026 after being introduced at the event. The launch of The Freestyle+ demonstrates Samsung’s focus on combining portability, modern entertainment and artificial intelligence to create a new device that is flexible and easy to use in a variety of everyday life contexts.
