Russian YouTuber & iPad Pro M2: A Wishlist?

New Apple products for autumn have not only been leaked by the US radio inspectorate FCC: A Youtuber, which is located in Russia with the channel name Wylsacom, claims to have an iPad Pro M5-and presents it in a video. It is particularly interesting that it is a person who had reached a – apparently stolen – MacBook Pro M4 early in the past year. So the story seems to be repeated. A first benchmark also appeared at Geekbench-as a “iPad17.3” with single-core values of 4133 and multi-core values of 15437.

Compared to the pre -model with M4, that would be 12 percent more power in multi -core mode. Like the M4, the M5 is said to have nine CPU cores- as before, three performance and six efficiency nuclei. The GPU performance should be 36 percent stronger in the metal score compared to the M4. The benchmark device comes with 12 GB of RAM and only 256 GB flash memory. With the M4 there were still 8 GB ram.

The leaked hardware is said to be the 13-inch variant in “Space Black”. Visually there are only minimal changes: you can see a single back camera, four loudspeakers and the well -known smart connector for the Magic Trackpad (or loading). A lettering “iPad Pro” is probably no longer available. When it comes to thinness, it remains at 5.1 mm. In the video not shown is a possibly built-in second selfie camera that awaits the rumor mill. This should allow the device to be easily used in portrait or landscape for video chats. Alternatively, Apple could also install a square sensor as with the new iPhones.

It is currently expected that the new iPad Pro-M5 models will be released in October. Bloomberg Apple author Mark Gurman assumes that the Russian video is real. Incidentally, the packaging remains unchanged – even the background image has not changed.

This is reminiscent of the leak from last year-the unchanged MacBook Pro-M4 box initially left doubts that it was real unboxing. At the time, Gurman and others speculated that the device was probably stolen “from another country in Europe” and then reached Russia. In 2024 it was also a whole delivery, because there was another offer for 6000 euros and more on Russian online marketplaces.
