Next December 5th Kombat Taekwondo will have its first official event in the Caribbean. 20 fighters from the franchise will compete for the world title of their respective categories.
Although, it is the 17th edition and several Caribbean competitors were in official events in Colombia, Brazil, Argentina and France; This is the first time that the Caribbean public will experience firsthand the twists and turns of emotions that arise when the Kombat Taekwondo cage closes.
For Rick Shin, world president and founder of Kombat Taekwondo, having a stellar event take place in this part of the planet is more than a sporting contribution, but rather an opportunity for the world to learn about the Caribbean and Guadeloupe.
In addition, he assured that these types of events create equal opportunities for a region with a very great sporting potential.
«The arrival of the KT Grand Prix to the Caribbean brings world-class professional taekwondo to a region with enormous potential.
It also generates global opportunities for Caribbean athletes, strengthens the development of martial arts and boosts local tourism and economic activity,” Shin said in an interview with MASTKD.
Kombat Taekwondo will be broadcast live on Uni7 Sports, Youtube, Caribbean TV and French Sports TV, according to the franchise president.
«The event positions the Caribbean on international broadcast platforms, showcasing its culture and talent to millions of people around the world. Furthermore, it opens the door to future KT professional events and inspires the next generation throughout the region,” Shin concluded.
