The participation of these Quindian representatives was made possible through a collaborative effort involving the Coffee axis rap, the Departmental Committee of Coffee Growers, and the Quindío Government, specifically the Ministry of Agriculture. Selected from a pool of 45 candidates, these 13 individuals engaged in key events such as the World Tasters Championship, competitions for Best Coffee Design and Best New Product, and the SCA cataci workshops. This strategic approach highlights the region’s commitment to showcasing its coffee excellence on a global stage.

Coffee Axis Island Attracts Global Interest

The Expo drew an extraordinary 17,000 buyers from 85 countries, all eager to explore the offerings of 649 exhibitors. Notably, the Coffee Axis rap, representing the four departments within the Coffee Axis, created a dedicated “island” that became a focal point. This island welcomed an average of 800 visitors daily, all expressing keen interest in the unique coffee produced in this renowned region. This level of engagement underscores the growing global demand for specialty coffee and the Coffee Axis’s strategic positioning within the market.
