“We inform you that, starting with September 1, 2025, the new value of the regulated tariff for the system services, applied by the National Electric Energy Transport Company” Transelectrica “SA has entered into force. According to the Minister of Energy no. Tariff growth, imposed by regulation, will lead to an increase in the invoiced final price that you will pay for the electricity consumed ”, announces, according to zf.ro, Hidroelectrica.

According to the Hidroelectrica announcement, the new tariff will be reflected on the invoices issued starting with October 2025, applicable for energy consumption starting in September 2025, inclusive.

The impact will, however, be a small one for customers

The impact of this change will not be a significant one in the invoices of Romanians who have services from Hidroelectrica.

However, the impact in the invoice will be a reduced one, about 0.6 lei more per month for a consumption of 100 kWh or 1.15 lei/month for a consumption of 200 kWh.

The company’s clarifications

In an information sent on Tuesday afternoon, Hidroelectrica emphasizes that it has not changed the price of the active energy stipulated in its commercial offers, but the increase reported in the final price invoiced to consumers is determined exclusively by the increase of the regulated tariffs for the system services, applied by the National Transport Company of Electric Energy Transelectrica SA.

“These regulated rates are mandatory components of the final price of electricity and are uniformly applied to all energy suppliers in Romania, without exception. Therefore, all electricity consumers, regardless of the chosen supplier, will find this change in the invoices related to the consumption of September 2025,” according to the company.

Hidroelectrica strengthens that it offers and invoices only the active energy, the competitive component of the total energy price. The other components-the transport and distribution rates, the system services, the regulated contributions and the VAT-are established by normative acts and regulations issued by the competent authorities (ANRE and the Ministry of Energy), not under the control of the company.
