A Platform for Progress: The 42nd National Television Festival Concludes

The 42nd National Television Festival in Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh province, concluded with a vibrant ceremony celebrating the achievements and future direction of Vietnamese television.Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the crucial role of television in reflecting and shaping Vietnamese society during his address at the event.

Television: More Than Just a Medium

Prime Minister Chinh articulated a vision of television that extends beyond mere interaction.He described it as the beat of the people, the breath of social life, and the voice of the time, highlighting its power to connect citizens with the government, foster national unity, and inspire progress. This outlook aligns with the increasing recognition of media’s influence on public discourse and national identity, particularly in rapidly developing nations.

Festival Highlights: Technology, Talent, and Community Engagement

This year’s festival was a significant event, drawing participation from 100 units and showcasing 734 works across 11 categories. Beyond the awards, the festival featured exhibitions on cutting-edge television technology, insightful seminars on journalism in the digital age, and explorations of artificial intelligence applications within the industry. These elements underscore the commitment to innovation and adaptation within Vietnamese media.

Furthermore, the Organizing Committee demonstrated a strong commitment to social duty by undertaking initiatives such as providing free medical examinations for congenital heart disease, constructing homes, schools, and bridges to benefit local communities. This integration of social impact initiatives reflects a growing trend of media organizations engaging directly with the communities they serve.

Recognizing Excellence: Awards and Accolades

the festival culminated in the presentation of 54 gold,98 silver,and 223 consolidation prizes,along with three individual awards. Prime Minister Chinh personally presented the Gold Awards,expressing his hope for even greater quality and impact in future festivals. His presence underscored the government’s recognition of the television industry’s importance.

A key highlight was the launch of National Television’s Big Data Based Hearing Data Measurement and Analysis system.
