Plovdiv woman Krasimira Dacheva, who traveled on the bus and witnessed the conflict between the driver and the passenger, told our reporter what exactly had happened.
According to her, due to extremely heavy traffic, the flight failed to get to the stop, as the cars did not make him a way and did not provide the necessary space, which made the driver in the move. The driver tried to follow the timetable and not cause traffic jams, but in the end he had to stop shortly after the stop.
Despite the uncomfortable situation, the driver opened the doors to allow the waiting passengers to get on. However, one of them reacted aggressively, accusing the driver of not stopping where he should. According to the witness, a verbal shootout began between the two, in which the passenger made insults and curses to the driver.
“His passenger was calling a keles, a dumb and other offensive words I didn’t want to mention. The driver tried to explain that he was simply observing the schedule and that he was kept bread, but the man did not stop with the attacks. At one point he even opened the barrier and reached for him, which was outrageous.”Krasimira says.
The conflict escalated to a physical altercation. The driver with an attempt to protect himself also reached out and the intervention of other passengers was required.
Two women also joined the dispute – one in defense of the driver, the other in support of the attacker, insisting that urban transport drivers are obliged to stop in the designated places, regardless of the conditions.
Krasimira calls for more attention to the conditions under which drivers work in public transport, as in this case the driver did everything possible to get to the stop, but unsuccessful.
“We must be understanding the tension to which drivers are subjected to daily, and we must show patience and mutual respect between them and passengers”She said.
