The latest update for PlayStation Portal adds a 1080p High Quality visual mode as well as various improvements to streaming and navigation features.
Sony has again provided a significant update for their handheld devices, PlayStation Portal. The latest update, which was released in March 2026, brings major improvements, especially through the presence of 1080p High Quality visual mode.
Interestingly, this new mode can be used during Remote Play or Cloud Streaming, with a focus on higher visual quality compared to standard mode. Consequently, this feature will use more data, but of course offers a gaming experience that is more comfortable and pleasing to the eye.

In the official post PlayStation Blog On March 17, Sony also revealed that use of the Cloud Streaming feature had experienced rapid growth, with an increase of up to 162% last January compared to the previous year. Additionally, more than 50% of PlayStation Portal users are now PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers.
Not only visual improvements, this update also brings various improvements to aspects Quality of Life. Several features such as product pages, game invites, trophy information, and search functions are now made easier to access and navigate.
