NH Mobile Food Pantries for SNAP – 2024 List

RIGHT NOW. KRISTI, THE GOVERNOR SAID FOOD IS A BASIC NEED THAT WILL NOT BE OVERLOOKED. STARTING TODAY, THE NEW HAMPSHIRE FOOD BANK SAYS MOBILE FOOD PANTRIES WILL OPEN TO HELP SNAP RECIPIENTS. NOW, THAT EFFORT WILL EXPAND THIS COMING UP WEDNESDAY, THE NEW HAMPSHIRE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SCIENCES IS PARTNERING WITH NEW HAMPSHIRE FOOD BANK TO PROVIDE THOSE MOBILE PANTRIES AND FREE FOOD BOX PICKUP. STATE OFFICIALS APPROVED $2 MILLION FOR THIS EFFORT. IF YOU CAN’T MAKE IT TO THE PICKUP LOCATIONS AND NEED FOOD DELIVERED. GOVERNOR AYOTTE SAYS THEY’RE WORKING ON THE LOGISTICS TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN AS WELL. IN ORDER TO USE THESE RESOURCES, OFFICIALS SAY YOU MUST VERIFY YOUR IN THE SNAP BENEFIT PROGRAM BY SHOWING AN EBT CARD OR NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION FROM DHHS. GOVERNOR AYOTTE SAYS THIS INITIATIVE IS DEEPLY IMPORTANT TO THE STATE. THE STATE IS PUTTING ITS DOLLARS IN TO STAND UP THESE MOBILE PANTRIES BECAUSE WE DON’T WANT ANYONE TO GO HUNGRY. WE HAVE 75,000 SNAP RECIPIENTS IN THE STATE, 25,000 OF THEM ARE CHILDREN. AND SO THESE MOBILE PANTRIES ARE GOING TO PROVIDE ACCESS THROUGHOUT THE STATE FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE SNAP RECIPIENTS AND NEED FOOD. IT’S IMPORTANT TO KNOW IF YOU HAVE A BALANCE ON YOUR SNAP BENEFITS FROM LAST MONTH, YOU STILL CAN USE IT. THOSE FOOD PANTRIES WILL ROLL OUT IN MORE THAN A DOZEN LOCATIONS. Mobile food pantries will be available this week for families feeling the effects of the federal government shutdown, the governor’s office has announced.In anticipation that SNAP funding will run out, state health officials are partnering with the New Hampshire Food Bank to operate mobile food pantries and food box pickup sites across the state. The food bank said mobile food pantries will open Monday for SNAP recipients, and the program will expand starting Wednesday.State officials approved $2 million for the effort. Gov.
