PSG leaders respond to Mbappe's comments
The leaders of Paris Saint-Germain sent a strong message to Kylian Mbappe after his disconcerting outburst at the French Football Awards on Sunday evening.
The French phenomenon Mbappe was named Ligue 1 player of the year after a stellar season in which he scored 38 goals in 42 games.
But the attacker also questioned his long-term future at the Parc des Princes, using the event to make a statement about his role in the club.
The PSG has tried to dampen the suggestions that could leave this summer – in particular with Real Madrid that keeps under control not only its situation, but also that of Neymar – essentially labeling Mbappe "non transferable".
However, they also reminded the twenty year old that the titles are won only by the collective.
They announced: "Very strong ties have united Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian Mbappe for two years and this story will continue together also next season.
" With the shared ambition to write the history of European football, in the year of the 50th anniversary of PSG, a long-awaited moment to write a great page together in the history of our club and in which everyone will have to do his part, always give value to the collective. "
