Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia -The 80th General Session of the United Nations (UN) was colored by protests when dozens of delegates from various countries carried out walk out when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu went up to the podium to deliver his speech on Friday (9/26/2025). This action was a reflection of the increasing international isolation of Israel in the midst of allegations of war crimes and global pressure to end conflicts in Gaza.
The view in the United Nations main courtroom showed dozens of empty seats when Netanyahu began his speech. The diplomats that came out came from member countries of the Islamic Cooperation Organization (OKI), the Arab League, and the non-aligned movement.
According to reports, delegations from Indonesia, Pakistan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Iran, and Cuba were among those who carried out the protest. This action is coordinated as a form of rejection of Israeli policy and as a solidarity for Palestine.
This walk out action is the culmination of the tension that was built during the UN General Assembly. The participating diplomats stated that the presence of Netanyahu, who faced an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC) on the charges of humanitarian crime, was unacceptable.

This protest symbolically rejected the narration delivered by Netanyahu and highlighted the humanitarian crisis that occurred in Gaza due to Israeli military aggression.
In his continued speech, Netanyahu challenged international criticism and defended his country’s actions as a war to defend himself. He condemned the countries that he considered actually supported terrorism by encouraging the formation of a Palestinian state.
Netanyahu also reiterated his rejection of the two -country solutions, an attitude that was contrary to the consensus of the majority of UN members.
The reaction to the walk out action varies. The delegation of the United States, the main ally of Israel, remains in the room.
