Gedern/Nidda (FSR). The HSG Gedern/Nidda II handball players continue to wait for the first points in the district league Gießen. The reserve duel at HSG Dutenhofen/Münchholzhausen II, which was classified as a game at eye level, was also lost. With 39:33 (22:15), the Middle Hessians kept the upper hand, Gedern/Nidda II remains penultimate.
In the initial phase of the game, the spectators saw an open exchange of blows. Fabienne Schmittberger and Liska Oberheim in particular delivered out of the outer positions as accompanying players. But the guests were increasingly under pressure in the further course of the first section. The strong back room of the opponent, especially Emily Biedenkopf, who scored a total of eleven goals, was hardly under control. So the hosts’ lead grew to 22:15 at halftime.
During the break, guest coach Oliver Heßler made changes in the defense. After that it went better for the handball players and Nidda and the deficit became gate around goal. The fast back player Rieke Fuchs scored several hits in this phase. After 40 minutes played, the score was 28:24.
The big deficit from half one was too large, especially since the guests also take part in one or the other technical errors. The 39:33 final score was deserved from the perspective of HSG Dutenhofen/Münchholzhausen II. The HSG Gedern/Nidda as a motivation boost can at least claim to have won the second half. There are no points for this. “Our young team must continue to consolidate its processes during the game -free time so that the first points can be scored in the home game against Wettertal,” said coach Oliver Heßler.
HSG Gedern/Nidda II: Dietzel; Mohr (1), Fuchs (6/1), Döll (3), L. Pfaff, L. Oberheim (8), Schmittberger (7), Jung (5/4), Tomann (2/2), Krieb (1).
