The prefect of Hérault has declared a new administrative closure. The decision was made public this Friday February 27, 2026 on X. It concerns an establishment located in Juvignacnear Montpellier. The measure is immediate and imposes a total interruption of activity for a period of one month.
A hair salon forced to close for a month
The establishment concerned is called Barber Hair Coif and is located at 287 rue de Jupiter. From notification of the decision, the salon must keep its doors closed for thirty days. The measure is based on a specific reason: the employment of foreigners not authorized to work.
Three closures in a few days in Hérault
This decision is part of a recent series. In Montpellier, two other establishments have been subject to administrative closure in recent days.
A restaurant located at Place du Numéro d’Or was forced to suspend its activity for employing a foreigner not authorized to work. A garage located on rue de Barcelona was also sanctioned for the same reason, with the addition of hidden employee work. For the latter, the closure period is longer and extends over two months.
