Luxembourg at UNGA: Frieden & Bettel on Two-State Solution

Prime Minister Luc Frieden, and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Cooperation and Humanitarian Action, Xavier Bettel, will go to New York to participate in the high-level week of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (AGNU80).

A highlight of the week will be the high -level event devoted to the implementation of the two -state solution, jointly organized by France and Saudi Arabia as an extension of the New York Conference at the end of July 2025. The Prime Minister will pronounce a statement on behalf of Luxembourg.

This AGNU80 will be marked by a particularly dense program, which will offer the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister the opportunity to participate in several high-level meetings, bilateral interviews and parallel events. The Prime Minister will also pronounce this year, on behalf of Luxembourg, the speech during the general debate of the General Assembly.

Martine Deprez, Minister of Health and Social Security, will also be in New York for the high -level week of the General Assembly. It will participate in the high-level meeting on prevention and control of non-transmitted diseases as well as on the promotion of mental health and well-being. On the sidelines of the work of the General Assembly, the Minister will also have other meetings and visits in connection with her attributions as Minister of Health and Social Security.

The Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister will meet during a reception at the permanent representation of Luxembourg on the occasion of which they will meet the Luxembourg community based in New York.
