Bucheon FC 1995 announced on the 19th that it will continue its partnership with Lee Chung-hyeon (19), a member of the club’s youth team and the ‘No. 1 semi-pro’, by signing a formal professional contract until 2028.
Lee Chung-hyun showed off his qualities as a large striker early on while playing for Bucheon U15 and U18. In the 2025 ’47th Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism National High School Soccer Tournament’, he won the top scorer award with an overwhelming record of 9 goals in 8 games. In particular, he dominated the high school stage by scoring two goals alone in the final, leading the team to a come-from-behind victory.
Amid these performances, Lee Chung-hyun joined a professional team by signing a semi-professional contract for the first time in the club’s history, and also entered the professional stage as a high school student by appearing as a substitute in the match against Hwaseong FC in the 39th round of ‘Hana Bank K-League 2 2025′ last season.
Bucheon highly praised Lee Chung-hyun’s sincerity and aggressive talent during his semi-professional days and decided to sign him into a formal professional contract. As a result, Lee Chung-hyeon, along with Kim Gyu-min and Seongshin, became another success story proving the excellence of Bucheon’s youth system.
Coach Lee Young-min said, “Despite his young age, he is a player with aggressiveness and excellent goal-making ability. As he showed potential through his debut last season, we expect that he will inject new vitality into the team’s offensive line this year when he becomes a full-time professional.”
Lee Chung-hyeon said, “I want to prove my pride in being the club’s first semi-professional player with results on the K-League 1 stage,” and expressed his strong ambition, saying, “I will do my best to help Bucheon, who raised me, rise even higher.”
