The country has gone through a dark and painful period, she reflects, highlighting the convergence of a severe economic downturn, the COVID-19 pandemic’s devastating impact, the catastrophic Beirut port explosion in 2020, armed conflicts, widespread poverty, mass emigration, and the prolonged absence of a president.
