Following the contract extension of LZ manager Christian Martin, Jahnschmiede has finalized several crucial personnel decisions, solidifying its coaching structure for the upcoming seasons.These changes impact both the performance and advancement sectors, signaling a renewed commitment to nurturing young talent and ensuring continuity within the organization.
Performance Area Leadership: Continuity and Promotion
The performance area sees notable shifts in leadership roles,with existing coaches stepping up to guide the U17,U16,and U15 teams:
- Lukas Baumer: A veteran of Jahnschmiede,Baumer embarks on his twelfth season,taking on the dual role of coordinator and head coach for the U17 team. He succeeds christoph Bächer, whose tenure concludes at the end of the current season.
- Philipp Matz: After five years with Jahnschmiede, Matz, previously the coordinator of the development area (U11-U14), will now oversee the U16 team as head coach for the 2025/26 season. His prior role involved establishing essential training principles and play philosophies.
- Marcel hartmann: Entering his eighth season with the organization, Hartmann will accompany his current cohort of players as he assumes the head coach position for the U15 team.
Development Area: Welcoming New Impulses
The development area welcomes a new face in Marvin Strauß, who began his role as coordinator on January 1, 2025. Strauß is expected to bring fresh perspectives and innovative strategies to the development of younger players within the Jahnschmiede system.
