IPhone Made in USA: Economic Impact & Future

by Archynetys Economy Desk

In the dispute over the transfer of iPhone production, US President Donald Trump personally attacks Apple’s leader. “I had minor problems with Tim Cook,” he said. Trump is angry because in his opinion, Apple should not be produced in India as planned, but in the US. However, in West Virginia or New Jersey, the iPhone would cost much more expensive than it is today.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Apple is considering increasing the price of the new model in the fall. This should not be related to the tariffs set by Trump; Price increase should be based on new features and design. However, analysts are already warning that this could cost the company a market share. As a result, sales will fall rapidly if Apple concedes to Trump’s pressure.
