On the day of the attack, Calum left Bobbie’s home in Fife after a minor argument. On her own to care for their four children, including a newborn named Lyla, Bobbie was shocked and dismayed when the police arrived with news of Calum’s death. What followed was even more horrific. He had been drugged with Etizolam, a potent drug, and left violated and dead.
The Long Journey with Calum
Calum and Bobbie’s relationship was not without its ups and downs. Their union began at a party in 2015, when Bobbie was 17 and Calum was 18.

The Last Words and the Night Before

On November 2, 2021, the night of the attack, Bobbie and Calum had a disagreement over household tasks. Calum left for what he thought would be a brief visit to a friend, but the evening took a dark turn. The police’s arrival shattered Bobbie’s world, leaving her alone to raise her children without her partner.
Brister and Allan’s Crimes

Calum was lured to Dylan Brister’s home in Methil, Fife, where he was drugged and sexually assaulted. The pair had planned the attack meticulously, using TikTok to flirt with potential victims. Brister and Allan drugged Calum’s drinks, leaving him defenseless. Calum died from intoxication, with his family and friends left to mourn.
The crime shocked the community and horrified those who knew Calum. During the trial, both Brister and Allan tried to blame each other for the attack, but they were ultimately convicted of sexual assault, rape, and murder.
Court Sentencing
In October 2024, Calum’s case came to a verdict. Dylan Brister received a life sentence with a minimum term of 23 years, while Cameron Allan was sentenced to a minimum of 19 years. Allan also admitted to attacking two police officers during their arrest.
