One UI 7 Rollout: A Tale of Two Galaxies

Samsung’s One UI 7, built upon Android 15, is poised to deliver a host of improvements and fresh functionalities to Galaxy devices. However, not all features will be universally available. specifically, the Galaxy S23 series will miss out on certain Galaxy AI capabilities present in the newer Galaxy S25 lineup [[2]].

The excluded Features: What S23 Users won’t Get

Despite the anticipation surrounding One UI 7, it’s now confirmed that the Galaxy S23 series will not receive the Audio Eraser and Natural Language Search features. These functionalities are earmarked for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Tab S10. The Audio Eraser is designed to eliminate unwanted background noise from videos, while Natural Language Search allows users to perform settings searches using everyday language.

Hardware Limitations and AI Processing

The absence of these features on the S23 is attributed to hardware limitations. Samsung indicates that on-device AI processes, such as those powering the personal data engine, demand robust hardware capabilities. Interestingly, cloud-based AI features like Circle to Search may still be accessible to a broader range of devices, including the S23.
