UK Sees Significant Surge in Viewership
In the UK, Formula E has witnessed a strong surge in fan interest with a 120% increase in viewership for the São Paulo E-Prix compared to the same race in Season 10. A new free-to-air broadcast deal with ITV has enabled fans to watch the sport live on ITV4 and ITVX. This partnership has not only enhanced accessibility but also driven engagement.
Record-Breaking Viewership in Brazil and Mexico
The opening round in Brazil recorded a staggering cumulative audience of 40 million viewers, making it the most-viewed opening round and one of the most-watched races in Formula E’s 11-season history. Viewership growth in Mexico also showed a 10% increase year-on-year, demonstrating consistent and growing demand for the sport. Beyond the Americas, fans across Europe displayed a strong appetite for Formula E, with viewership in Germany and France surging by 65% and 64%, respectively.
