Heading towards the FLUAA 2026: the UAA is committed to editorial collaboration to project knowledgeo

  • The UAA strengthens its editorial seal through national and international alliances to project knowledge.
  • The National University of Colombia will be the guest at the UAA Book Fair, promoting academic and cultural exchange.

The Autonomous University of Aguascalientes constantly strengthens its editorial linkage strategies through collaborative work with national and international associations, organizations and institutions, with the purpose that the knowledge generated in the academy transcends university spaces and has a direct impact on society.

As part of this commitment, the UAA promotes the work of its publishing label and the construction of strategic alliances that allow the projection of university scientific and academic production.

In this context, approaches continue with the National University of Colombia, with a view to consolidating its participation as a guest in the UAA 2026 Book Fair (FLUAA), thus strengthening the ties of academic and cultural cooperation between both institutions.

In this regard, Mr. Francisco Montaña, director of the Publishing House of the National University of Colombia, highlighted that the presence of external publishers in meetings such as the FLUAA promotes a valuable exchange of ideas, knowledge and experiences, in addition to enriching the cultural and academic programming for the benefit of the university community and the general public that attends these book celebrations.

He stressed that the historical and cultural closeness between Mexico and Colombia facilitates editorial and academic linkage efforts, which is reflected in intense exchange activity between scientific communities of both countries, through stays, joint theses and shared research projects.

Likewise, in his capacity as president of the Board of Directors of the Colombian Association of University Publishers AC, which brings together nearly 70 publishing labels, he explained that this collaboration network has made it possible to strengthen the presence of Colombian universities in international fairs such as the FIL Guadalajara in Mexico, and jointly face the challenges of editorial projection and sustainability.

Finally, he pointed out that in the face of the budget cuts faced by higher education institutions, both public and private, it has been necessary to rethink the editorial models and commit to the sum of efforts, innovation and collaboration, in order to keep this substantive function alive.

With these actions, the UAA reaffirms its commitment to expanding its field of editorial action, strengthening international academic dialogue and contributing to the construction of a more collaborative and global knowledge society, capable of addressing common problems from a collective perspective.
