Fans were worried when country star Dolly Parton canceled several concerts in Las Vegas last fall.

Speculation that Parton was seriously ill was fueled when her sister said last year that she “sat up all night praying for her sister”.

After several months of concert break, Parton is back. During the season opening of his Dollywood theme park in Tennessee, the artist gave a brief update on his health, reports TMZ.

– I haven’t toured, as you know, Parton told the audience and continued:

– I have had some minor health problems, and we take good care of them.

The recording was shared on the television channel WVLT 8.

The country star explained that she was “tired and exhausted” after her husband’s passing.

– Eternal love

Husband Carl Dean, died March 2025, aged 82. The couple were married for 58 years. Dean consistently stayed out of the limelight and never attended events with his wife. The singer only shared a few photos of him over the years.

After the death, she dedicated the song “If You Hadn’t Been There” to her ex-husband.

– Carl and I fell in love when I was 18 and he was 23, and like all great love stories, they never end. They live on in memories and in songs, she wrote on her Instagram.

In September, Parton announced that she had to postpone her Las Vegas concerts due to health issues. A month later, the country star was able to assure fans:

– I’m not dead yet!, she said in a video on Instagram.

– When he passed away, I didn’t take care of myself, so I let a lot of things go that I should have taken care of, Parton said.

She explained that the doctor said it was time to take care of her health, but that it was “nothing serious”.

– I get some treatments here and there, but I want you to know that I’m not dying, she said.

Parton has shared a number of videos on her Instagram in recent months, but only now is she back on stage.

– I got myself exactly where I needed to rebuild myself spiritually, emotionally and physically. But everything is good. It didn’t slow me down.
