Initially conceived as a brief, ten-minute segment for the program Harlingen Exit, the project rapidly expanded into a full-fledged documentary due to overwhelming public response. A call for stories and images yielded a wealth of personal accounts, photographs, and archival footage from residents who vividly remembered the fire.
