David Lugert: Concert at St. Bartholomew’s Church – Mainfranken News

by drbyos

VOLKACH – “I sing, therefore I am” – this is the motto of an evening with the frontman of the a capella band Viva Voce, David Lugert, on Friday, December 5th, 8 p.m. (doors open at 7 p.m.), in the parish church of St. Bartholomäus Volkach.

In his rousing concert program, David Lugert spans from New York to Volkach and comes to the conclusion: “Singing makes you healthy, and singing along too!” Together with guitarist Franz Dietlein (guitar, vocals, harps) and pianist Andreas Kuch (piano, electric bass, beatbox), the studied opera singer sings and tells songs and stories from his 20-year stage career.

The audience can look forward to a varied and relaxed concert evening, which unfolds even more thanks to this radiant and versatile voice in churches like the Volkacher St. Bartholomäus. In this entertaining and very personal program, David Lugert sings some Advent songs as well as well-known songs such as “You raise me up” and “Hallelujah” as well as some of the numerous hits that he wrote for Viva Voce; be it the profound “Halt mer zam” or the good mood guarantee “Hello, you beautiful Franconia”, both of which became famous through their appearances on “Fastnacht in Franconia” (BR television).

Tickets from €28; Free choice of seating in the parish church.

All information and tickets can be found at: www.comoedie.de or at the Volkacher Mainschleife tourist information office, Marktplatz 1, 97332 Volkach.
