Cho Kuk, leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, recently posted on his Facebook page, “I am sorry about the prosecution bill submitted by the government. Please explain why the three-tier structure of ‘Grand Public Prosecution Office – High Public Prosecution Office – Local Public Prosecution Office’ is necessary.”
At the same time, he pointed out, “The three-tier structure was created by the prosecution to show off that they are on the same level as the court,” and added, “Even now, the High Prosecutors’ Office is a place where idle manpower is gathered, but I cannot understand why there should be a High Public Prosecution Office in a public prosecution office system where investigative authority is drastically lost.”
He also added, “If the intention is to respect the pride of the prosecution, I absolutely cannot agree with it,” and added, “I hope that the Democratic Party, which has the power to make decisions, will seriously and seriously review this point.”
