A woman and a man (an important manager) were arrested by the Carabinieri of the Rome Investigation Unit on charges of sexual violence against minors, child pornography, detention and access to pornographic material. The execution of the precautionary measure was ordered as part of an investigation by the Rome Prosecutor’s Office which started from a complaint presented by the father of a minor, regarding an exchange of child pornography between the two suspects.
The discovery of the chat and the father’s complaint
According to what emerged from the investigations, the father reported that his daughter, while she was in Treviso at the home of her mother, her ex-partner, discovered on a PC owned by the latter a chat between her and her partner, in which sexual photos and messages depicting minors were exchanged, including the daughter herself and her two cousins aged 5 and 8. “The investigative activity – explains a note from the Carabinieri – has made it possible to collect a solid evidentiary framework, made up of testimonies, protected hearings of the minor, as well as computer material seized during searches carried out between Treviso and Rome at the homes of the suspects. The analysis of the content of the forensic copies of the computer devices subject to seizure, including mobile phones, laptops, tablets and other devices, has made it possible to further strengthen the accusatory hypothesis, allowing the collection of serious indications of guilt against the accused. of the two suspects”.
The material found in computers
A “very large amount of data, photos and videos with sexually explicit content were found on the devices. In particular, in the chats between the suspects, content of a child pornographic nature was detected, focusing on comments exchanged between the two”. Furthermore, comments were identified in the chats “which suggest that the nephews of the woman under investigation were forced to suffer sexual attention from their aunt”.
