With a 32nd home run hit last night, Cal Raleigh adds a little weight to his file for a title of MVP of the American League at the end of the season.
Aaron Judge ahead of Home Run in Al, Cal Raleigh is in the footsteps of a season at 67 Home Runs, which would break the judge record over a season. So you don’t need Julio Rodriguez more to plead the case of his catcher:
“I think he clearly deserves his first real chance for the title of MVP,” said Rodríguez about Raleigh, who struck a Home Run for a fourth consecutive match, a first in his career. “The way he deserves it to be interested,” Rodríguez continued. “Because what he realizes as a receiver is really special, in his ability to impact the game, on both sides of the field. I don’t think there is someone else doing this right now. »»
A few weeks before the All-Star break, Cal Raleigh therefore made the powder speak in a meeting largely dominated by the Mariners 11 to 2 against the Twins.
Julio Rodriguez also contributed enormously to this victory with a Home Run and 4 Product points. On the mound, Bryan Woo was imperial with an outing at 9 stick with sticks.
With this victory the navies are 2nd of the American League West at 4.5 games from the Houston Astros and 0.5 match ahead of the Guardians for the final place in Wild Card.
