Bumrah & Hardik Rested | NZ ODI Series Update

by drbyos

Reportedly, the Indian Cricket Board will rest star pacer Jasprit Bumrah and all-rounder Hardik Pandya from the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand. This decisive decision is to reduce the workload of the players and ensure sportsmanship ahead of the T20 World Cup to be held in 2026.

The BCCI’s move is aimed at getting the key players of the team in full form for the World Cup to be held in India and Sri Lanka in February next year. The absence of key players will provide a great opportunity for young players to prove their mettle and cement their place in the team.

Reports suggest that the duo will be back in the squad for the T20 matches that will be held after the ODI series starting on January 11.
