It’s best to just answer football referees 🤝🏻.
Midfield loses the ball as a result, the defense is too far forward and makes a perfect pass to the striker. He basically runs towards the goalkeeper on his own. This means that you have to run diagonally towards the goal on the right side. A defender comes from the left, a good 7-8 m from the penalty area the striker puts the ball too far forward. The defender apparently comes too close between the ball and the opponent because the striker runs into the back of the defender’s legs. Both fall to the ground, the referee gives a foul for the attacking team and a yellow card for the defender.
My question (only referees please).
Was that really a foul? If yes, from whom?
If there is a foul by the defender: yellow card is not enough, right?
