After each clean, the dirty water tank should be emptied. This is easy to do, as the top of the tank lifts off, and the filter can be removed. I found that the filter did a good job of separating solids from liquids, but it’s still a bit of a messy job to empty the tank.
The brush roll can be removed for cleaning, too. This is a simple case of pulling the brush roll out of the floor head. I found that the self-cleaning mode did a good job of keeping the brush roll clean, but it’s worth checking it every now and again to make sure that there’s no hair wrapped around it.

Bissell says that the CrossWave OmniForce Edge has a run time of 25 minutes, and I found that to be about right. On standard power,I managed to get 24 minutes and 56 seconds of cleaning time.On maximum power,this dropped to 18 minutes and 3 seconds.
That’s enough to clean a small to medium-sized house, but if you have a larger house, you may need to charge the cleaner in between cleans. Charging takes four hours, so it’s best to charge the cleaner overnight.
