A breakdown of Bancontact terminals was reported this morning throughout Belgium. The CEO of Bancontact confirmed that the origin of the problem comes from their subcontractor, Worldline.
When contacted, Worldline confirmed that it encountered problems, limited to Belgium. The company indicates that the situation is being resolved and that it is a technical problem, while specifying that no cyberattack is mentioned for the moment.
