Carlos Alcaraz will play his first Australian semifinals on Friday against Alexander Zverev.

The first semi-final on Friday at Melbourne Park will be played by Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev.
Right after the mixed doubles final, Spanish and German will clash at the Rod Laver Arena from 2:30 p.m. local time – or 4:30 a.m. Central European time.
While the second semi-final will be played by Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic in the same stadium, and will begin at 7:30 p.m. local time – or at 9:30 a.m. Central European time.

In the first duel of the day, Alcaraz and Zverev will enter the court with a Lexus ATP HeadToHead of 6-6, and with the Murcian winning the last duel between the two, played at Cincinnati 2025.
While Sinner will be the favorite in his duel against Djokovic. Above all, for leading the Lexus ATP HeadToHead 6-4 between them – he has won the last five duels.

This is the first time since 2013 that an Australian semi-final has its top four seeds.
The last time this happened No. 1 Djokovic defeated No. 4 David Ferrer and No. 3 Andy Murray beat No. 2 Roger Federer. The Serbian ended up winning the title.
