“Alt-Fürth” was the name of the local history association until it was renamed “Historical Association Fürth” in 1996. A photo series stored in the city archives in Burgfarrnbach Castle shows not only the Herzogenaurach church square – we presented it in the penultimate “Archive Pearls” issue – but also this picturesque, lushly vine-covered building. But there is no castle with an onion dome anywhere in the greater Fürth area.
