New Matches Added to AEW WrestleDream – AEW’s three-hour Dynamite + Collision special on October 15 set the stage for several major developments heading into AEW WrestleDream 2025with new matches officially added to both the main card and the Tailgate Pregame Show.
The episode featured multiple storylines converging as rivalries escalated in dramatic fashion. In one of the night’s featured bouts, The Hurt Syndicate took on Gates of Agony (GOA). The match broke down late when Bobby Lashley and Toa Liona took each other out with a double clothesline at ringside. Inside the ring, Shelton Benjamin climbed the ropes for a suplex attempt on Kaun, but chaos erupted when Ricochet confronted MVP at ringside, causing MVP’s cane to land inside the ring. As the referee moved to remove the weapon, Ricochet struck Benjamin with a clothesline, allowing Kaun to capitalize and score the pinfall. After the match, MVP retaliated by attacking Ricochet with his cane on the outside.
Later in the show, The Death Riders faced Orange Cassidy and Kyle O’Reilly in a chaotic tag team contest. O’Reilly appeared to have the match won after forcing Daniel Garcia to tap out with a guillotine choke, but the referee missed the submission due to interference from Marina Shafir. While O’Reilly released the hold, thinking he had secured the victory, Jon MoxleyClaudio Castagnoli, and PAC made their way to ringside. O’Reilly managed to neutralize PAC with a running knee, but Castagnoli struck him with a vicious uppercut before tossing him back into the ring. Garcia then took advantage of the distraction to score the pinfall win.
Following these events, AEW officially announced new matches for WrestleDream and its Tailgate Pregame Show. On the main card, The Hurt Syndicate will face The Demand (Ricochet and Gates of Agony) in a trios match.
