Last night, Ukraine attacked heating plants and power plants in three Russian counties, writes the Kyiv Independent.
Various power plants in the counties of Oryol, Vladimir and Yaroslavsky were attacked in a rocket and drone attack on the night of Friday, the newspaper reports.
They cite Russian authorities referring to posts on Telegram.
Among other things, the thermal power plant in Orjol, which is the region’s largest electricity and heating plant, is to be attacked. Surveillance images from the nearby train station show a powerful explosion at the power plant. Aftenposten has verified the video.
According to the local governor, the power plant was hit by debris from drones that had been shot down.
An important transformer station in the Vladimir region and northern Russia’s largest oil refinery in Novo-Yaroslavsky were also attacked.
