Recent Seizures Highlight Revenue’s Crackdown on Smuggling in Ireland
In recent operations spanning Dublin, the Midlands, and Rosslare, Irish Revenue has made significant strides against smuggling and illicit activities. Since December 16, enforcement actions have resulted in the seizure of various drugs and related paraphernalia, counterfeit goods, and cash.
Dublin Airport Seizure Yields Significant Cocaine Cache
During a targeted operation at Dublin Airport, Revenue agents uncovered a substantial amount of cocaine concealed within two parcels marked as ‘Engraved Leather Organiser’ and ‘Yoga Wear.’ The operation revealed 2.35kg of the drug, valued at approximately €164,500.
These packages, originating from the United States, were destined for addresses throughout Dublin, highlighting the international dimensions of the smuggling operation.
