Journey of a Beloved Family Man
Denis Nolan Sr. unexpectedly passed away at Cork University Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. His departure leaves a void that is rarely filled, yet the warmth of his spirit remains deeply embedded in the hearts of those closest to him.
As the son of Denis and Alice Nolan and step-son of Una (nee Daly), Denis was a cherished member of an extended family known for its kindness and strength. He was adored for his unwavering commitment and affection, radiating a gentle strength that made him a beacon of comfort to all around him.
A Family Mourns
Denis was a devoted husband to Mary (nee O’Driscoll), a loving father to Elizabeth, Paul, Pearl, and the late Denis (Dinny). He was also a cherished grandfather to Ryan, Rory, Lucy, and Jack. His loss is keenly felt by each member of his family, who will miss his guiding presence and the wisdom he shared.
Beyond his immediate family, Denis was sorely missed by his brother Edwin, sisters Margo, Veronica (O’Callaghan), and Pauline (O’Sullivan), and by his extended family. Family members extend heartfelt condolences to his in-laws, nieces, and nephews, as well as the extended family, neighbors, and dear friends who knew Denis and were touched by his kindness.

Memorial Services
In honoring his memory, the family has planned a series of events for all who wish to pay their respects.
Viewing: Denis will repose at his home (P51 E3C9) on Tuesday, Christmas Eve, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. This will be an intimate gathering for friends and family to come together and reflect on Denis’ life.
Requiem Mass: A Requiem Mass will be held on Thursday, St. Stephen’s Day, at 12:00 pm in Holy Cross Church, Glanworth. The community is invited to join in the celebration of Denis’ life.
Burial: Directly following the mass, there will be a burial in St. Dominic’s Cemetery, Glanworth.
