Engvall began the year on injured reserve following offseason hip surgery, and he’ll likely miss the entirety of the campaign following his ankle procedure. The 29-year-old made 62 regular-season appearances for the Islanders last year and recorded eight goals, seven assists, 47 hits, 16 PIM and 12 blocked shots while averaging 11:49 of ice time.
