Micheál McNicholas, a resident of Cloondolagh, Kiltimagh, County Mayo, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024, at the age of 92, surrounded by his loving family at Mayo University Hospital in Castlebar. His gentle soul will be remembered by all who knew him for his kind heart and cherished moments.

Life and Legacy

Micheál’s life was marked by meaningful relationships and significant milestones. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers PJ and John Joe, his sisters Anna Mae and Agnes, and his granddaughter Jessica. Despite these losses, his resilience remained unyielding.

Memorable Family

Micheál’s warmth and affection extended far beyond immediate family. His beloved wife, Maureen, will miss him deeply, as will his sons: John, Michael, Paddy, and George. His daughters-in-law, Phyl, Joan, Ursula, and Irene, will carry on his spirit, along with his 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Farewell Plans

Micheál will repose at O’Hora’s Funeral Home, Main St, Kiltimagh (F12 Y1F7) on Monday evening from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock. Family and friends are invited to gather and share cherished memories of their loved one.

Removal from his home will take place on Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at the Church of the Holy Family, Kiltimagh, via Gilmartin Park, at 11 o’clock. The service will conclude with burial in Kilkinure cemetery, Kiltimagh.
